Established in Rockford, Michigan, in 1883 Wolverine made the original boots that helped build the railroads, erect skyscrapers, and expand highways across this great country. A historic mile marker for the brand took place in 1914, when Wolverine introduced a footwear line called the 1000 Mile Boot?, setting the standard for durable footwear. Generations of American workers have come to depend on Wolverine boots for comfort and durability. Today, Wolverine continues to deliver on its promise with an extensive range of premium products including boots, shoes, apparel and gear.
These boots are amazing. They suit everything and I wear them every chance I can get. They are a simple well thought out boot that's well worth the price. The contrast sole and stitching also really gives this boots a nice subtle fancier look then you would find with most boots. The only thing about them is they scuff easy, but all they need is a good shoe polish and they'll be as good as new. These boots wore in very quickly and are not uncomfortable by any means of the imagination. I bought these boots because I was traveling France and they were by far the right choice. I rarely found myself in struggling with these boots. They have great soles - except they lack a bit of grip, but its an easy fix. This is an amazing pair of boots and the next chance I get I will be buying the Cordovan pair. I would recommend these boots to a friend and talk highly of them all the time. All in all great pair of boots worth buying.
Wow is all I can say. Crack open the box to a wonderful earthy leather smell and a beautiful pair of boots wrapped in an embroidered 1000 mile towel. First fit? Like a glove. Make sure to size down, the boots I ordered are size 11, even though I generally wear size 12. First impressions - comfortable right out of the box. Leather is soft and supple, not stiff at all. They were well oiled and ready to wear out of the box. Waxed laces are perfect, as is the speed lacing for the top three lace rows. I threw them right into the mix by walking a mile or so through snowy slippery city sidewalks. Initially they slipped pretty badly, but as soon as the waxy coating wore off of the sole they weren't bad at all. No worse than my Red Wing Beckman's, and the Beckman's have a lug sole. What more can I say about these boots other than that they're amazing? Comfortable and well oiled right out of the box, no break in or special waxes/oils required before wearing. Highly recommended.
