I have several T Bags braided halter maxi dresses. ?I love the braided halter style. ?While I liked this style on the model, for me, the fit was wrong. Way too much length in the straps. I ended up cutting the straps altogether and knotting the ends of the braids to make it a halter. I am short through the torso and I am sure that is most of the issue. I also really needed a small and bought the medium since the small was sold out. The braided straps are navy, not black and I wish that had been part of the description. Although the navy is fine I would have preferred black. The dress is still lovely and the fabric is what I was looking for. I also like the main style of this dress. - fitted at the top and a slimmer style skirt. Many other maxis I own have more of an A line which I like less. I still view it as 4 stars because of the body style and fabric.
this dress fits well, the fabric is soft, it is not overly full at the bottom as many maxis are. I simply cut the hem to the length i wanted, as it is a raw hem to begin with, and it looks great! a very sleek dress, VERY comfortable. only downside is the braided trim and straps. They are blue-black color, not quite as black as the dress fabric.. this difference is not noticeable under subdued lighting in the evening. still, color consistency would have been better. overall i am happy with my purchase. i already own 2 dresses of this style, the other two are prints. they are fabulous as well, and no issues with the color of the straps.
