Derived from those sun-soaked Lemonade Stand Days designers and owners, Gillian Mahin and Laura Hall are the masterminds behind the line For Love & Lemons. Born in Wyoming, finding their style niche in Australia and now based in Los Angeles, the collection is anything but conventional-rebelling against the standards of modern society. The line taunts with intrigue as a clash of colors and patterns are evoked by chic separates and devious dresses. Where the modern gypsy is punk, For Love & Lemons is a brand to relate to, for that girl that doesn't follow trends, she makes them.
This was my first purchase from this particular brand and I'm not necessarily impressed. It's a really cute bralette and it's perfect to wear under see through tops but I don't think the quality is very good. I think the bag it came in is a higher quality than the actual bra. The band just looks like it's cheaply made and it's kind of itchy so I would not recommend this if you have sensitive skin. Is it cute? Yes. Is it worth $74? Definitely not.
Honestly, I'm beyond disappointed in this label. All of their items are beyond overpriced for what they are, but I continuously would still purchase because I like the styles. However - they are made LIKE CRAP. I've received 3 damaged items now... Thank god for Revolve Clothing, they're literally the best site offering me an exchange on this bra's clasp tearing off after 1 very brief use (even tho it's not even remotely tight on!). This is the first bra from for love & I lemons that I bought that had a clasp and go figure, it's made extremely cheaply... yet $74.00. totally rip off. no doubt it's super pretty and feminine, but if it wasn't for Revolve Clothing's awesome 90 day defective policy I'd be stuck paying to fix this stupid thing. If you're going to buy For Love & Lemons, do NOT buy it anywhere else... Especially from the company! They charged me shipping on a $300 order. Literally a joke.
