Love these jeans, this is my second pair! I wore my first pair until the butt ripped out! These seem to fit a little smaller than my first pair, I'm not sure why. I'm normally a 28 in stretch, 29 in rigid. I got the 29 and they are very tight on the waist and crotch area. I know they will loosen up and I won't be drying them.
I like the worn in effect of these jeans but they are a bit grittier/stiffer than other 7 jeans. These also run smaller than normal because of the non-stretch denim. To compensate for my belly bulge, I had to go a size up but then it created numerous ripples behind my thighs which I wasn't too happy about. I think I would have liked these better had they been made with stretch. I would probably size up if ordering these jeans so you won't have a muffin top.
These jeans are a hair lighter in person than in the pictures and the fabric is thin and not as soft as some other SFAM. I found the fit to be somewhat awkward...but I kept them anyways... They are tight in the thighs but loose at the waist. I am 5'4 and have a fairly athletic build so I would image a person with thinner legs and a little less behind would look great in these. There is no doubt they are a casual wash and I still find them to look pretty cute with Ts. I think you would like them if you were searching for a more laidback, casual pair of jeans.
