Amazing jeans - even thought I am 5'4" and wear a 31 - after tailoring these still keep the wide leg without looking stumpy! They sit high enough on the waist to cover my belly pooch - but not above the navel where it looks too trendy and goofy. The thinner weight denim is PERFECT for spring summer and the color is a medium blue with a good amount of tonal distressing. Perfect jean to pair with wedges and a white top. I would say these are true to size but do stretch out - you might want to wash in Hot water and High heat dryer to keep shape IMO.
I loved my first pair of Gingers so much I went out and bought a second! The slightly higher rise and wide leg makes your waist look teeny and your legs look miles long they do run long (I'd say about 35"-36" inseam and I'm 5'8"), so your tailor is your new best friend. One caveat: the fabric content dictates the fit my pair in the london wash are much more comfy than my st. pete wash so you may want to go up a size in the non-spandex versions.
These denims fit beautifully . . . just high enough in waist to be very comfortable, just low enough to look to be flattering. Fit though thighs is perfect and flared bottoms balances the look. Lighter weight fabric is really comfortable. Great pair of jeans for casual wear or pair the darker wash with a fitted jacket and heels for the office. BTW, every time I wear these jeans, women ask me what brand they are and where I bought them.
