The best boots I ever had! I saw them 2-3 months ago I i fell immediately in love with them, but the price was just a little bit to high for me at that moment. But few weeks ago I received an Email from RC.com with 100$ off coupon for any purchase of $200 or more! And my first thought was: these boots are gonna be mine :-). I receive them ONLY 7 days later, and you must knowI live in Europe, Germany. Everything is great, color - beautiful dark brown , look - kinda noble antiqued, brilliant quality (Mexico made!) ... I'm really more than happy with them. Unfortunately when I did my order, there was only one review there, which said they run small ;-( and I bought them in 7,5 instead of 7. But they're true size!!! I wouldn't return them, 'cause they're sold out in 7. Well, bad luck for me, but with some shoe insert it's gonna be fine. I'm real Boots-Freak and I have 5 fave pair of boots, but these are my absolutely No. 1 now!!!!!
I am perplexed that people say these run small, I am a perfect 10 in designer shoes and have 4 pairs of Fryes. I got these in a 10 based on reviews but if these are like my other pairs, they fit perfect now BUT with wear and breaking in they will wind up sloppy. Go for your normal size, break 'em in and then wear big socks. The quality on these is great, they are made in Mexico and WILL last your whole life. The Ava boots are made in China and are horrible. Beware other Fryes, ask Revolve if they are made in China or not, if so, they are NOT the "benchmade" quality that Frye is famous for. Love these boots tho, timeless.
I really disliked the foot of this boot. I thought the color and texture were kind of cheap looking because they are definitely not distressed as the picture shows, but a uniform tan. I wanted something more "tough" looking so I bought the 15R Engineer in gaucho. I absolutely love the Engineers; they have great toe room (the veronicas are tight) and an awesome shape to the foot (bumped toe) and the shaft (uneven height). I also think the arch support and overall comfort are 100%. The Veronica shaft is really buttery soft and slouchy and the engineer is more stiff but it doesn't make a lot of difference when you are wearing them. I wore my regular tennis shoe/boot size (as opposed to flats/ heels size) with both styles.
