First of all I'll say that I own a number of quality faux fur coats and have never paid this much $$ for one. However, I do understand that all retail has really sky-rocketed lately and with that being said, RevolveClothing had the best deal on this coat compared to any other site. Not to mention a discount and free shipping. So I'll give it that. I haven't even worn it out of the house and I can already tell you that there's a few things I'm not crazy about with this coat... First, the fit is weird in the way that you can't really "hug" anything without feeling like you're going to rip the *cheaply sewn* polyester lining (which I have already done by accident). I'm 5'4" , 120lbs, so I ordered the small and it looks kind of huge on me, but that doesn't bother me too much. Overall, I just wish it was more fitted through the waist and looser in the shoulders. These things I can deal with, but my biggest peeve about this coat is that IT SHEDS! I've never had anything faux fur that sheds like this coat does, which is a bummer because you can't wear anything dark with it. ... oh and did I mention you can't wash it? Cleaning instructions on the tag say to "wipe clean". Maybe dry clean?I had much higher hopes for this coat. But... I'm going to keep it. It IS warm and it IS cute. Maybe I will have it tailored to fit better and re-line it with something more durable, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the shedding will stop over time.
Great coat! I like how the colour of the actual coat is darker than shown in the picture. It's somewhere between taupe-fawn. I'm 5"7.5 and 110lbs, was deciding between s and xs, and I chose s for a more slouchy look. Though I don't think there's much difference between the two sizes.
