These boots arrived today (SUPERFAST DELIVERY, SO IMPRESSED!) and OMG I LOVE them!! They are beautiful. The leather is buttery soft, and the quality of the craftsmanship is excellent. They are extremely soft and comfortable. The colour looks lighter than the pictures online, and at first i had to double check the website to make sure i was sent the right colour. Also, i don't think these are true to size. I wear an Italian 37.5, and so i ordered a 7.5 as they were made in italy...and they are half a size too big. I don't want to send them back for exchange as not free for international exchanges, so i will just wear them with an insole and thick socks. I will definitely be getting these in other colours, they are a gorgeous boot.
These boots are gorgeous! I ordered them in taupe, and the color is definitely darker than this picture. To see the true color, refer to the Loeffler Randall Riley Over the knee boot in taupe, also sold by Revolve. That is a more accurate photo. I normally wear a size 6.5 US, but they were sold out so I had to buy a size 7, which I am very happy with. A 6.5 would have just fit with tights or very thin socks. My toes would be squished and would touch the front. With the size 7, I can wear anything from tights to regular socks and have no slippage and ample room for toe comfort without them being too long in length, either. My calves are average, slightly muscular, and the boot shaft fits perfect with still some room for skinny jeans. My only complaint is that it looks as though someone has broken them in before me or they were a floor model, tried on several times. The soles are a little discolored, showing slight wear, and there are deep creases across the top of the foot, where the toes bend. For the price, I am disappointed in the condition and in Revolve for not inspecting thoroughly. If a previous customer returned them in this condition, Revolve should not have accepted them. I will probably try to exchange them for another pair.
Colour - much darker than in the picture. Fit - I'm normally a 6.5 but got a 7 after reading the reviews, width was good but length was a bit too long so in summary its good for people with long skinny type feet. Looks great but a bit big on the calf, may be due to sizing up half a size. Although the leather looks great, the frame around the front of the feet is quite hard so there is a "bending cardboard" feeling when you walk. I think they would be quite good for people with thin long feet.
I was a little worried that these won't fit me as I don't have skinny calves, but they fit perfectly! I can even wear them with jeans tucked inside. They are true to size and the colour is perfect and the style is very long lasting.....it's an investment i won't regret!
Best. Boots. Ever. Hands down. These are beautifully made, classic, sleek, can be dressed up or down, and work with dresses as well as over skinny jeans. I'm about 5'5" and they come to just under my knee, and have a nice slender calf which doesn't gap (like most boots do on me). The color is gorgeous; you never know with a taupe what'll actually be in the box but the Revolve photos are very true representations of the color here, and they go with everything. I could've spent twice the money buying several different pairs of not-quite-right boots, so I'd consider these a very worthwhile investment.
