These jeans seem to fit well at first but when you really look, they tend to scrunch up around the crotch area...so I had to return them. And it wasn't just me or the specific jeans, my friend tried on some Joe's Jeans and they did the same thing on her. So If you are really picky and notice everything like I do, I say don't get them!
Just for reference I'm 5'3 about 110 pounds and wear a 27". I found the rise in the jeans to be too high, they look much lower on the model. Higher rises just don't flatter my body type. I also found these were bad "butt" jeans. However, I have a bit of a curvy butt and hips so people who don't may find it flatters them.
When I first got these, I loved them. They were the perfect fit and length. I like my jeans fitting (not tight), but after wearing them for a little bit they stretch out. Also, I threw them in the dryer...... BIG MISTAKE. They shrank a whole inch- too short for me to wear with heels! Now I have to get them hemmed (1/4 inch bleh) so I can wear them with flats. While I do recommend them, I would say get them one size down if you can, and do not dry.
The fit was good when I first tried them on. I found they stretched a lot. I would recommend getting a smaller size then you normally do. I felt they were a little wider in the hips. It may just be my body that made it seem that way : ) They were definitely comfortable jeans! I loved the dark wash.
