James Perse started out by making the perfect baseball cap; film directors ordered hats for their cast and crew and record labels bought them for tours. In 1994 he launched a t-shirt line that rapidly gained loyal fans looking for a seamless blend of luxe and casual. James personal design philosophy and aesthetic is low maintenance high fashion, emphasizing elegance and comfort, pairing sophistication with simplicity.
I especially liked this sweater as I am tall (5'10") and the bottom hits just the right place on my legs for a very flattering fit. The quality is very good; so typical,l of designer James Perse. I had a problem, however, after I tried it on for several minutes. When I took it off, there was so many small trimmings from the sweater, my hair, clothes and floor had so much of the excess debris from the sweater. I used an adhesive fabric roller to get most of the remaining debris from the inside of the sweater. I would recommend looking to see if your sweater has the same debris, and remove it before wearing. The sweater is worth the inconvenience.
