Bohemian Chic - a term coined to describe the effortless style of the quintessential laid-back LA girl with an eye for high fashion-Nicole Richie. Raised in the spotlight by famously creative parents, Nicole was born with an innate style vision, one she has cultivated through her notable jewelry collection, House of Harlow 1960. Launched in fall of 2009, Nicole has led the brand to a household name in a short two years, an accomplishment that reflects her ability to create a strong connection to each and every one of her devoted customers. The House of Harlow 1960 brand has evolved into a full-fledged collection, offering ready-to-wear, jewelry, sunglasses, footwear, and handbags.
The shoes are buttery soft suede and seem well made. They run narrow and you should order a size up if you want to wear socks. The colors are bright and vibrant, but it was far too costumey for me. I ended up returning them for a couple of reasons. As much as I want to love them, I think a more muted brown or black would be more wearable. Then there is the matter of fit. The toe is slender and cute, but the bootie fit does nothing but shorten my short legs. They aren't that flattering on the gorgeous Nicole herself. If I fold the sides down then the shoes look weird. I would definitely buy these again in sand if the price was right. Price is too high for how often I this type of shoe could be worn. Quality exceeded my expectations and sole is padded.
