The oldest continuously operating shoe company in the US hasn't missed a beat with its commitment to classic American styling. Fashion's temperamental tastes may come and fade away but we know where to go for an unfussy, wearable, workable boot. Now bring on this season's skinny jeans.
I don't get a chance to try this on before buying and have to be careful that I pick the correct size by checking reviews from multiple sites. The wrong size would be costly for me in return shipment. I'm usually a 7 in pumps/flats and 7.5 in trainers and opted 7.5 for this. It was the right call! This model runs somewhat narrow on the toe box so the 1/2 size up gives just enough wiggle room for the needed comfort. The length is perfect with just about 1/2 finger allowance at the heel for socks/movement. Size 7 would have been too compressed at the toe section. The heels do slip a little but I read from other reviews that this is to be expected from new Frye and should subside with wear. I can find lots of wear in this as it goes very well with shorts/leggings/skirts (but not skinny jeans, in my opinion, due to the low shaft). Hope this helps.
This is my third pair of Frye's and I was lucky enough to have one of my friend's recommend sizing up in this specific style, as it runs narrow (however, I also have wider feet). I usually get an 8.5 in flat Frye boots and a 9 in those with heels. I got the 9 in the Veronica Shortie and it is perfect, especially since I plan to wear thicker socks as winter comes around. Everyone adores this boot (even my bf, who could care less about style). The quality is as expeected from Frye - flawless. I watched these for a while and finally made the purchase, glad I did!
Absolutely LOVE these boots - so much more badass than pictured. Finally ended a 4 year quest to find the perfect short moto boot. I especially love that the circumference is not gaping huge so that I can wear them with skirts and jeans. For fit: these were a little tight at first, but I walked around in them for about an hour and they've stretched already to the point of comfort. By the way, I wear an 8 and got an 8.5 to wear with socks and I'm glad I did. I'd recommend going up 1/2 size unless you plan to go with tights or very thin socks.
