The oldest continuously operating shoe company in the US hasn't missed a beat with its commitment to classic American styling. Fashion's temperamental tastes may come and fade away but we know where to go for an unfussy, wearable, workable boot. Now bring on this season's skinny jeans.
I LOVE these boots! They can be worn over the knee and with the flap down, both look hot! I'm 5"6, 115 lbs with very narrow calves and they fit perfect with my skinny jeans. No huge gaps, and when the flap is folded over it sits just below my knee. They are narrow, but I have narrow feet, so it's perfect. The leather is SO soft! Will have these for a long time, they are timeless!
I am 5'4" and 110 pounds (slender) and the boots are fitted over skinny jeans. They hit about 1" above the knee cap and for me they are 1/2 size big so I ordered a 5.5 instead of my usual 6. If you are in between sizes like me, you should definitely order down 1/2 a size. I found the front of the foot to be fitted when wearing sports socks and the heel to be loose (moving side to side), but not uncomfortably loose. The leather is good quality and is grainy and feels smooth, thick and very durable. It's not as soft or smooth as napa leather; this is more rigid and structured. The bottom sole is leather, which can be slippery so I would recommend putting rubber soles for extra traction. Overall, it's a very nice riding boot.
I loved the look of this boot, the leather is smooth and pliable. The boot is a bit snug in the foot area. I believe it will stretch and give with some wear. They are not unbearably tight,I am afraid if I size up it would be too much. I have a very high instep/arch it took a little work to get them on but I was able to do so. There are some boots I cannot wear due to my high arch. I have normal size calves and believe jeggings/leggings or jeans will fit inside they are slim cut. I am 5'8'' and they are slightly above my knee, about an inch. I think these boots will break in very nicely!
