Diane von Furstenberg first arrived in the fashion world in 1972 with her iconic wrap dress, the seed of what is today a full fashion house. By 1976, Diane had sold millions of her dresses, coming to symbolize female power and freedom to an entire generation. In 1997, after a hiatus from fashion, Diane reemerged on the New York fashion scene with the re-launch of the dress that had started it all and began transforming her company into the global luxury lifestyle brand it is today.
I am not a wedge fan, but when I first saw these I knew I had to have them. I love the gold DVB zipper detail on the back and of course the the step wedge detail separtes it from other wedges. The simpleness of the front is great because I feel that it makes it more versatile to wear with everything from formal to casual pants and dresses. My feet are a little wider than normal so I was surprised to find that these fit a half size larger than standard sizing. This pair is also verry popular so get it while your size is still in stock!
The shoes are gorgeous but are EXTREMELY difficult to walk in; I bought them because wedges are typically more comfortable and easier to walk around city streets in. I am accustomed to wearing 4-5" heels on a daily basis, but for some reason, I have fallen flat on my face every time I have worn these... the wedge is so thin in the back that uneven surfaces cause the entire wedge (and my ankle) to tilt with it.
