Diane von Furstenberg first arrived in the fashion world in 1972 with her iconic wrap dress, the seed of what is today a full fashion house. By 1976, Diane had sold millions of her dresses, coming to symbolize female power and freedom to an entire generation. In 1997, after a hiatus from fashion, Diane reemerged on the New York fashion scene with the re-launch of the dress that had started it all and began transforming her company into the global luxury lifestyle brand it is today.
The suede on these shoes is the softest I've ever felt. I bought these in the beige suede color, and they go with everything. The first day that I wore them, I got compliments from men, women, even the elderly lady for whom I gave up my seat on the bus! She reminisced about wearing shoes like these when she was younger and wondered if she could still pull it off. My only reservation about this shoe is that it has a 4" heel without any platform. It was OK for a day in the office and a quick shopping trip, but I could tell they would start to hurt if I'd done any more walking. I'm a slightly wide 8, and the 8s fit perfectly. The suede upper will conform with your foot, so it can accommodate a normal to wider width foot well.
