Ugh these jeans were just terrible for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but as others recommended, I sized down 2 sizes and I think they fit how they should have, but they looked and felt awful on me. I guess that I shouldn't wear slouchy pants - on me, they look how they look on the model here. They are too baggy and slide down in the butt area. Also, because they have a higher rise, the crotch area hangs down low but the skinny leg makes that area feel constrictive, if that makes sense. Plus I wasn't impressed with the wash - it was definitely blah to me in real life. These jeans remind me of the time I borrowed my 12-year-old brother's jeans for a Hallowe'en costume - not a good look for me.
I absolutely love these jeans but I have to agree with the other buyer that you need to go 2 sizes down on these jeans. I am 28/29 and first tried the 27. They a little roomy in the waist but fit well in the legs. The 26 was tighter in the legs and fit better in the waist and after buying Current Elliot roll shorts I knew they would stretch a bit too. After a few days the tightness in the legs went away and they fit great..nice and slouchy but not too baggy around the waist...very flattering!!
The look of these jeans is very cool. The paint splatter is very subtle, and there is only one rip in the upper part of the thigh, so it's not so over the top destroyed, and you could dress up or down this jean. The jeans definitely run 1 to 2 sizes big, depending what look you like. I personally think the model on here looks sloppy in the oversizeness of the 'skinny'--buying one size down from your true size looks relaxed and slouchy, but definitely not too baggy like the model. it is a more flattering look. I've had many compliments about my current elliott skinny jeans...they tuck into boots nicely, and the wash of their denim is very nice. they look cute with flats as well. my favorite part is just the one rip, which adds a nice style to your outfit. I love wearing mine with all my Nation ltd tees!
Because of this super slouchy skinny, I bought my first skinny. It's too hot to wear other fitted jeans like Frankie.b so I think this look is more suitable for the hot weather. Everybody on the Internet suggests to size down and I took a 24. It's a pity that the lower legs are tight for me...sigh... But the fabric is really soft and comfortable! I only can say that skinny is really not my style...
