"Rebecca's clothes are just so wearable," said actress Shailene Woodley backstage at the Rebecca Taylor Fall '13 show. Wearable they are, and this season, the typically girly line goes downtown cool with a head of slicked-back hair, leather pleated skirts, oversized coats, and biker pants finished with multiple zippers and straps. These are a few of our favorite looks.
Rebecca Minkoff filled the Stage at the Mercedes Benz tents where celebrities and die-hard fans alike gathered to see what Minkoff would dream up in her Fall collection. Next season, looks like we're going to the future. Inspired by spacesuit-like construction mixed with utilitaria details, we see Minkoff in our future closet.
The fashion masses have gathered to the epicenter of New York Fashion Week, at the Lincoln Center tents. Thursday began with an amazing presentation of Nicholas K.'s signature muted collection. BCBG was no surprise a massive show of feminine opulence, where oversized furs, layered knits and maxi dresses, and slouchy beanies were the key. A doubled-up women's and men's show at Richard Chai was twice as chic with plaid suits and army green ensembles. We took a very close look at Timo Weiland's impressive display of both man candy and tailored looks. The moment of the night had to go to an Anna Wintour spotting at Kimberly Ovitz. Such a rarity.
Rebecca Minkoff has formed an international army of fans since the release of the must-have M.A.C. handbag series. Which brings us right here, right now...to the Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2013 show. Gawk below.
