I've wanted this T by Alexander Wang tank since the birds could fly and the cats could sing.... thankfully the people at REVOLVE sent one over. Its unbelievably perfect. I dont think there will ever be a better black tank in the history of the universe. Pretty big statement? Maybe. But its true...

REVOLVEclothing: When did you start writing your blog? Why did you decide to start a blog?
I started almost two years ago because I was soo inspired by other blogs and I wanted to share my opinion with everybody.

Do you have any fashion icons or heroes?
I love Audrey Hepburn a lot. Who doesnt? She is so classic and beautiful. Whenever I wear a Little Black Dress I think of Breakfast at Tiffany's, and I just ordered How To Steal a Million from Netflix, a movie shes in.

Do you look to any specific inspiration when getting your outfits together? (movies, music, books, etc.)
Not especially. I just pick out things that jump out at me on that day. My outfits also depend on my mood.

How would you describe your personal style?
Its all over the place. One moment Im in a knee length dress, and the next you'll see me in overalls. Its almost funny how crazy my wardrobe is. At the same time I like mens dressing and then being as feminine as possible.

Where do you find most of your clothes?
H+M, vintage stores, goodwill, American Apparel.

Do you have any favorite designers?
I am in LOVE with Chloe. I also like Burberry, Chanel, and Marc Jacobs. Not to mention Proenza Schouler. That brand always manages to pluck at my heartstrings.

What is your current fashion obsession?
Striped sweaters. They are so Parisian chic. I think I want a million.

What are you up to these days, aside from blogging? School, mostly. And playing the piano. Living. Laughing. That whole chestnut.

Look who we spotted wearing Paula Bianco's infinity scarf! Kim Kardashian paired the loose weave scarf with distressed denim, over the knee boots, and a heavy moto jacket. I know the outfit might look hard, but trust me Bianco's doubled knit is beyond soft! The layered piece is designed to look slightly loved and can be worn doubled or tripled depending on the type of bundling you desire. The scarf also comes in a variety of warm colors to see you through spring!

The look is not hard at all. Can you tell me what top Kim is wearing underneath the jacket? Looks like one that Revolve sells, looks familiar.

Prep Schooled

Last month, Caulfield Preparatory's Vincent Flumiani was nominated for GQs Best New Designer in America award! The contest was blogged about and covered by some of our favorite fashion pubs, and although Flumiani didn't take home the big prize, we here at REVOLVE think he deserves some recognition for his amazing work!

The Modern Mystic: A Guest Blog by The Clothes Horse

Inspired by all things mystical is driving my wardrobe in a slightly new direction. This neotericstyle is exemplified by my second headpiece by Paisley&Brass, a triple strand wonder aptly titled "the royal gypsy." It is difficult to put to words what is mostly instinctive choices, but perhaps modern, minimalist gypsy would be an accurate characterization of the mood I am attempting to evoke. Suitable since I planning another move this summer, although the destination is still unknown. Pushing myself style-wise is this black, lace Cheap Monday dress from REVOLVEclothing; the perfect modern, gothic dress for a wandering spirit.
The Modern Mystic: A Guest Blog by The Clothes Horse - Q&A

REVOLVEclothing: When did you start writing your blog? Why did you decide to start a blog?
I started my blog in the summer of 2007. I had just returned to rural Pennsylvania from a semester in Japan and I was feeling stifled. My blog became this outlet of all my creative impulses and connected me to a bigger world of like-minded individuals.

Do you have any fashion icons or heroes?
I admire Sofia Coppola for her style in clothes and the distinct style that embodies all of her films. I'm also greatly inspired by Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde. In fact, I'm probably more inspired by characters in film than real life people.

Do you look to any specific inspiration when getting your outfits together? (movies, music, books, etc.)
When I buy pieces I look for a specific vibe; right now I'm looking for some exotic, gypsy-esque pieces all inspired by Ruth St Denis. When I put together an actual outfit though, I just start with pieces in my wardrobe and just build around a pair of shoes or a dress--the inspiration tends to be the garment itself.

How would you describe your personal style?
Right now, I call it quirky ladylike. There are some elegant elements in it, but I like to break it up with whimsical headdress, colorful tights, and other odd elements that make it less stuffy.

Where do you find most of your clothes?
Vintage or secondhand stores and chain stores, because I definitely shop on a budget!

Do you have any favorite designers?
I definitely change according to the season and their last collection; some favorites are Christian Lacroix, Rodarte, and Proenza Schouler.

What is your current fashion obsession?
Style wise; I'm into neutrals, vintage hats, and heeled oxfords.

What are you up to these days, aside from blogging?
I'm working on a couple of different projects with people online, but my biggest time committeemen are part-time classes and my applications for law school.

I'd like to nominate The Queen of Hearts for a guest-blog! I know you guys like the bigger blogs but she's been pretty loyal to us readers and I'm not sure how you guys are selecting people but I know she's shouted out Revolve a ton of times for your services and what not. She's not like these bloggers with exclusively outfit posts but she's got a pretty keen eye for fashion. Check her out at

NYFW Wrap Up

Fashion week (and a half) is coming to an end. The runways are empty, our PR friends packed up their headsets, and we're making our last rounds at the the trades. However, I wouldn't dare leave New York without dishing out the goods on what to expect for fall from some of our favorite designers.

Rebecca Taylor Fall Fashion Week 2010

Rebecca Taylor's collection embraced the idea of what women want to wear when they feel feminine and cool, but also want to stay comfortable. Looks offered tons of layered sweaters, fitted suiting, faux fur trims, and new colors like olive green desert rose.

Tibi Fall Fashion Week 2010

Tibi's Amy Smilovic brought the appeal of opposites to the forefront of her collection. Inspired by Peter Beard's photographs, masculine structure met feminine draping, and neutral colors were offset by pops of brights.

Karen Walker Fall Fashion Week 2010

Karen Walker showed us how Bob Dylan does Austrian style, the Von Tramp way. Her collection teamed with shrunken suiting, from cropped chord blazers to skinny trousers, and dusty colors of blue, cream, and printed folk-inspired velvets. On the other end, there's warmer oversized flannels, chunky sweaters, and sheepskin for those colder days in the Alps.

Yigal Azrouel Fall Fashion Week 2010

Yigal Azrouel went lean and tailored for fall. His collection created silhouettes that were heavy on structure but also soft and draping, using architectural shapes to reinvent classic garments that played on masculine and feminine elements.

Karen Walker Fall Fashion Week 2010
Karen Walker Fall Fashion Week 2010

Timo gave us "Pagentry and Ceremonial Splendour," which translated to looks for him and her that incorporate pleats, wool minis, tweed pants, and classic button downs. Colors and plaids went dark, think camel, aubergine, maroon, and forrest green.

Milly by Michelle Smith Fall Fashion Week 2010

Milly designer Michelle Smith titled her collection "Classique=Moderne," looking to several Nouvelle Vague films of Jean-Luc Godard to provide her with Parisian chic inspiration. Pieces are classic but find modern play in color and contrast. Expect stripes paired with checks, and bold colors like crimson red blending with elegant fabrics.

Erin Wasson x RVCA Fall Fashion Week 2010

Tons of layers and ivory whites filled Erin Wasson's latest collection for RVCA.The vibe was a mingling of bohemian-esque flowy and grunge-inspired separates, with a lace-up jumper thrown in the mix.

Vana Cava Fall Fashion Week 2010'

Vena Cava's Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock showed us how they do Woodstock cabin retreat in the '70s, offering up playful culottes, mossy colors, and dots of hardware for signature edge.

Elise Overland Fall Fashion Week 2010

Elise Overland's signature rocker style gives way to more elegance this coming fall. Expect your favorite leather pieces alongside tuxedo-inspired dresses, velvets, cropped jackets, and body-hugging silhouettes.
