From retro-futuristic silver to organic gold and copper, it's all about metallics for spring. Whether going for all-out glitter or more muted fabrics with a gilded sheen, metallics can add flair to any look. Heavy metals were all over the runways in ready-to-wear and accessories, ranging from golds and silvers to copper and bronze. Pick a hue – or mix and match – and you're good as gold. We're even seeing a metallic trend in beauty. Both Jane and WhoWhatWearDaily report the arrival of metallics on many a face. Think gold and silver eyeliner, subtle glitter, and ethereal shimmer (but not all at once!). As Nylon says, "No reason to be greedy. This season there's more than enough gold to go around."

How to Wear Metallics

Out of this World
The retro-futuristic look ? shiny metallics in sharp cuts and shapes ? radiated on the runways, inspired by old movies like Star Wars and Tron with a splash of Barbarella thrown in. While going full-force with the futuristic look is not only impractical but perhaps a little, um, ahead of our time, you can incorporate the look through a few key pieces. Shiny silver bags and sculptural tops in metallic shades are excellent ways to embrace the future without looking like a Jetson. Jane magazine suggests wearing clear accessories to complement the '60s interpretation of futuristic fashion.

Metals in Moderation
Lucky takes a more subtle approach to the look. In the March issue, they pair slim beige pants with a flowing gold blouse, suggesting that, "metallics, in particular, will punch up khaki." The key here is balance ? neutrals paired with flash. InStyle takes a similar cue, suggesting a minimalist perspective for wearing metallics. They advise, "If you go glossy, keep the rest low-key." One way to achieve this is through accessories. Pairing look-at-me gold and metallic accessories with more conservative staples like the black pencil skirt and white blouse transform the look and, as Elle says, "banish wardrobe boredom."

We've got a closet full of metallics to get you going. Shop the look @ Revolve and you're golden.

COMMENTS:

Revolve is in the spotlight this month, garnering press for must-have style in Lucky and InStyle. Celebs, fashionistas, and editors alike can agree — Revolve is the one-stop shop for all things fabulous.

InStyle Offers Jean Therapy

Kate Winslet looked fantastic in the ultra-flattering Blue Cult Kate Buttlifter on the cover of December's InStyle. The versatile bootcut fit paired with Blue Cult's magic "butt lifting" design works for a range of body types and is great with heels.

Mischa Barton just can't get enough of the J & Company Malibu Chain Jeans in Washed Gray. With those adorable button-flap pockets and edgy, faded grey hue, we don't blame her, either.

Feeling Quite Lucky

In the new March issue of Lucky, WhoWhatWearDaily.com founder, Katherine Power, calls these Rich & Skinny ankle-zip jeans "the ideal complement to my precious blouses." We love the thoughtful contrast of rock-influenced zippers with girly tops and the balance between body-skimming skinny jeans and billowy blouses with some volume.

Lucky is also excited about our new "Loveless" wedges from Devotte. The metallic leather sandals are featured in the "Lucky Spring Shoe Guide," dedicated to getting your feet looking chic. The sleek low Loveless wedges are peppered with tiny studs, creating a retro uptown-downtown vibe. Click here to pre-order your pair for arrival by the end of the month!

Happy reading (and shopping)!

The fashionable folks at WhoWhatWearDaily, formerly editors at Elle, are reporting the emergence of double-breasted jackets as the silhouette to sport. A welcome change of pace from swingy, voluminous coats, the double-breasted cut is both classic and fresh all at once. The article reports Mischa, Keira, Scarlett, and Lou Doillon all doing it double-breasted style, and the look was spotted on the Marc Jacobs spring runway, too.

While their fave version is the hip-length cropped look, we love the full range of lengths and variations. In a range of fabrics from light canvas to heavier weaves, you can take the double-breasted look through the seasons. Try Adam + Eve's sparkly silver version for a night on the town or the more military-influenced styles like Robert Rodriguez's Riding Jacket or Z Brand's Nomad Trench. Whether cropped or long, fitted or belted, the double-breasted coat can go day to night or office to cocktails effortlessly. Just throw it on over jeans and add instant oomph to an otherwise basic outfit.

Our buying trip to Coterie was a stylish success. We signed on some fantastic new lines and ordered goodies from some of our favorites. We even ran into Project Runway contestant, Kara Janx, and America's Next Top Model runner-up, Melrose, at the booths. All in all, lots of highlights.

Let's recap our last day.

Alexis Bittar
We loved the new jewelry collection from Alexis Bittar. Lots of hand-painted, hand-carved Lucite in shimmering, translucent shades of purple, blue, and amber. The seventies hues and sixties shapes give off a chic retro vibe to the sophisticated bangles, earrings, and pendants.

Sparkling stones with golden hoops, loops and chains artfully balanced delicate and edgy aesthetics. We love Bittar's pieces for their versatility; you can pair his jewelry with clean, refined looks or funkier outfits with equally stylish results.

Giles & Brother
We also picked up some new pieces from Giles & Brother. Rugged and elegant all at once, much of the Giles line takes on organic shapes inspired in nature. Golden antlers, clovers, acorns, and horseshoes adorn earrings, pendants and charm bracelets. We fell in love with the punk-influenced golden studded bangles with colored enamel. The perfect accessory to rough up a sweet, girly look.

And how about these heart-shaped hoops? We love that they're like an all-grown-up version of bamboo earrings. Per LL Cool J, always wear at least two pair.

Julie Brown
We snagged a new line of dresses and tops called Julie Brown.

Brown, the owner and designer, considers Audrey Hepburn a muse and calls her designs "happy." The result? Lots of bold, graphic prints on floaty silk dresses and tops. Big hearts, colorful houndstooth, and chain link patterns adorn trapeze blouses and mini shift cuts for a young, fun feel that seamlessly transitions from day to night with a change of accessories.

And that just about covers our trip. This is Revolve, signing off from New York!

COMMENTS:

Equal parts party girl and Park Avenue, chain link prints are as good as gold.

From Louis Vuitton to Stella McCartney, cheeky chain prints are having a moment, linking everything from accessories and ready-to-wear to sporty shoes. With a nod to '80s hip-hop (and, perhaps, a bit of Mr. T), the bling-heavy print adds a touch of glam with a slyly ironic wink. We've seen the look on the runways, at fashion industry trade shows, and on the streets of LA, New York, and Vegas. Don't break these chains!

From classic gold chains to multicolored links, we've got the best in show @ Revolve.
