It's safe to say we are knit wits at heart. Grandpa-inspired, Fair Isle-printed, cable-knitted cardigans, pullovers, v-neck, and wraps.. they are all in our closets and in heavy rotation (especially now that it's getting incredibly chilly out). Another cozy favorite comes courtesy of the classic ribbed knit. An easy piece to wear solo or with your favorite layers, these textured sweaters are seriously huge this season!

We recently spotted actress Olivia Wilde wearing MOTHER denim! Launched in 2010 by denim big shots Lela Tillem, formerly of Citizens, and Tim Kaeding, formerly of Seven for All Mankind, Runway, a slim flare, and also MOTHER's Outsider in the Heaven, Texas wash, which offers a bigger bootcut fit with a lived-in fade.

Somewhere between the quaint peacoat and the ankle-skimming duster we mentioned last week is another one of our favorites in the outerwear category : the shin guard.
