Who: Jake Deutcsh
What: Co-owner of Joey Showroom, home to many of Revolve's favorite brands like Modern Amusement, Black Halo, Christopher Deane, theProportionofBlu, and Lova (refined menswear, coming to Revolve for fall).
When: Cruising the Project trade show in New York last week
Where: Jake lives and works in New York, a serious source of visual inspiration for him. "I people watch everywhere I go," he says.
Why: Jake describes his style as "detail-oriented" with attention to cool subtleties like interesting buttons, unexpected lining, or unique hardware. From his red patent leather belt ("I like anything shiny") to his skull-embroidered bow-tie to his chain-laden motorcycle boots, Jake's style is nothing less than eclectic.
With his tuxedo shirt, snazzy bow-tie and herringbone trousers, it's clear that Jake is excited about the emerging menswear trend. "We've become so dependent on jeans. No one wears pants anymore," he says. "I love the way guys in the UK and Paris can put together a look that's so much more sophisticated, more refined." He adds, "That's why lines like Lova are so important. You can dress up without trying too hard."
