Yes yes I know; the harems have become my uniform. I'm basically wearing them (semi) all the time. They'll get rotated out soon by something else to live in.

I remember posting this beaded cardi here worn one night at The Plaza, but I actually prefer wearing beads/sequins during the day (case you hadn't noticed).

FYI, I was wearing a completely different pair of shoes today but after REVOLVE sent me these Jeffrey Campbell wedges via a gift certificate, I flung them on immediately.

Bollocks to leopard overkill.

1. When did you start writing your blog? Why did you decide to start a blog?
I started my blog around February 2009. My whole life I've loved clothes, styling, fashion and shopping and craved a creative outlet to vent. So the blog was it for me. I don't work in the fashion industry so it's my way of getting my 'fix' doing what I really love.

2. Do you have any fashion icons or heroes?
Hmmm. Varies. Some include, Lenny and Zoe Kravitz (more Lenny though I'm thinking lately), Kate Moss, Erykah Badu (no one rocks a fro like she does and she's stunning too),

3. Do you look to any specific inspiration when getting your outfits together? (movies, music, books, etc.)
I get inspiration from editorial magazines, music videos, people watching while walking around New York, anywhere really.

4. How would you describe your personal style?
So hard for me to pinpoint since I shift from 70s hippy to rock chick to 80's to a mish mash of all of those things.

5. Where do you find most of your clothes?
Combination of high street and thrift/vintage.

6. Do you have any favorite designers?
No one at the moment although I'm loving how Burberry has been transformed by Christopher Bailey. Everything he touches now is on my dream want list.

7. What is your current fashion obsession?
Sky high wedges.

8. What are you up to these days, aside from blogging?
When I have some down time from working full time and blogging at nights, I like to read books about the laws of attraction and understanding living in the now. Interesting stuff that's really got me thinking.

In this daytime look, I am wearing a sleek pair of Eryn Brinie shorts courtesy of REVOLVE! The navy shorts was paired with a lemon toned, ruffled top from MM couture. I started my blog, Behind the Seams a year ago as an outlet to document and express my personal style.

2. Do you have any fashion icons or heroes?
Audrey Hepburn, Kate Moss, Coco Chanel.

3. Do you look to any specific inspiration when getting your outfits together? (movies, music, books, etc.)
I tend to get my inspiration from within. I like to think of clothes as an artwork on a blank canvas.

4. How would you describe your personal style?
I love all things modern, vintage inspired, masculine, girly, edgy, playful and whimsical. I like versatility and experimenting with fashion on all levels.

5. Where do you find most of your clothes?
A lot of my clothes usually comes from places I've traveld to and visited. I'm also a sucker for the online shopping sites too!

6. Do you have any favorite designers?
It usually varies each season. I am currently loving Phillip Lim, Marchesa, Rag & Bone, Proenza Schouler, Moschino.

7. What is your current fashion obsession?
Wooden heels!

8. What are you up to these days, aside from blogging?
Besides blogging, I like to explore different types of eateries, travel, spend time with my family and friends!

So the big news... I'm officially an author!!!

And I'm celebrating by... taking a trip to LA. Give me a bottle of Tito's Handmade Vodka, good friends, and lots of shameless non-activities in the sun.

In the meantime, I forgot to talk about my shoes. I've been looking for a suitable summer replacement for my Chloe boots. God... I wear those things too much. It's been a tough search, but I think I've finally found them. And I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing these Alexander Wang mules just as much. So, thanks FORWARD!

that's chic for iT Jeans!

Both wrinkly-fronted and classic, these completely fulfill my need of a vintage-looking pair of jeans that are screaming to be naturally worn in throughout Spring. And at the risk of sounding finicky, I always have a hard time finding a pair of jeans that I like because the choices are overwhelming with the combinations of cuts, washes, complex designs, and whatever else you can use to decorate a pair of jeans. I paired my new rustic jeans with a flirty top capable of showing my midriff due to the lapse of frontal buttons as well as the alluring sheer mesh that hangs behind me. I sort of feel like a fairy in it. Thank you REVOLVE for the wonderful gifts.

I totally agree...Seems a bit tacky to expose the fact that REVOLVE is giving them the items...I also agree with what 'Chris' said about their writing...Very irritating when their writing style and use of words is parallel to that of an elementary student. I read one blog where the blogger used a word in totally incorrect context. Not hatin', just sayin' it just doesn't look good. I also enjoy REVOLVE's own editorials. AND, I've seen very few blogs posted here, where the blogger's style was any good...
