La Dolce Vita

The very first Fellini film I ever saw was La Dolce Vita.

I can still remember being especially enamoured by the perfectly cut dresses some of the characters were wearing.

It was as if the fabrics had been sewn right on to them... like a second skin.

With their very structured yet very feminine silhouettes, those Italian women were so inspiring that I decided to embark upon a hunt for the perfect dress.

Coming across such an item of clothing is easier said than done, but I finally laid my hands on the holy grail: a D&G dress from a great Web site called Forward Forward, full of very beautiful and very tempting designer pieces.

And now that I've got my "Made in Italy" dress, the only thing left for me to do is to learn the language of the land... and to find a Marcello, of course!

It's a jean, no it's a legging...

Actually it's called a jegging, or jean leggings and they're the latest in tight skinnies to hit REVOLVE. You can count Hilary Duff, Rihanna, Rachel Bilson, and Kristen Stewart as fans, we've already spotted them wearing denim leggings with everything from over-the-knee boots to sky-high heels. Not entirely convinced? Check out our latest trend report where REVOLVE denim buyer Lauren Barnes dishes out advice on how to wear and style these skinny jeans, I mean leggings, er...jeggings.

Sonia, Unzipped

Is anyone else as excited as I am about Sonia by Sonia Rykiel hitting REVOLVE? The stripes and Parisian quirk are now that much closer to my closet! Sure she made her name in pullover sweaters—she's ruled as the Queen of Knits since the '60s—but I'm seeing a silk blouse with a side bow neckline that's too cute! And I'm loving all the zippers, from the oversized zipper on her cream-colored cardigan to the side zip on her little black jacket!

REVOLVEclothing Guest Blog: Song of Style Yellow Owl Workshop Ghost Camera Ceramic Yellow Owl Workshop Ship Painting Yellow Owl Workshop Analog Postcard Set

I enjoy a good doo dad and the occasional knick knack. I love cute prints, quirky paintings, and surprising ceramics too, which is why I head over to Yellow Owl Workshop when my apartment needs more sprucing. The San Francisco-based company features limited-edition paper goods and items for the home designed by YOW founder Christine Schmidt. Her collection is a range of contemporary delights and homewares for the playful at heart, offering up bicycle paintings, hand-printed analog postcard sets, and even a ceramic camera! They're also eco-friendly! And really, what could be better than a non-toxic colorful ship painting?

Love At First Bite!
In this week's designer profile, BB Dakota founder and CEO Gloria Brandes reminisces on how one jacket sparked a Twi-hard shopping frenzy and prompted another season of equally as cute jackets. She also reveals her love for Dree Hemingway and the top-notch collabs she has in store for 2010!

Sena It

If you're on the prowl for fine knits and luxe basics, look no further than New York—based designer Sena Yang. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, this Washington native fine—tuned her skills with some of the most notable names in the industry —Larok, Alexander McQueen, Catherine Maladrino, and Sue Temps just to name drop—before heading out on her own. Yang's debut collection, which she named "Urban Promenade," carefully blends her West Coast cas' with New York's downtown hustle. In her spring lineup you'll find easy draped tunics and asymmetrical tanks along with sheer paneled dresses and body con skirts. Now the question is, how early in the day can I sport these see—through mesh numbers?

The Boys are Bundling Up!

I like the cold, but sometimes the whole layering thing and plain coat thing gets sort of boring. And guys, you must feel the same way. Which is why REVOLVE offers outwear that covers the wide and varied fashion spectrum. Pea coats, trench coats, green coats, blue coats...yes they're all there. Flannel blazers next to an Italian wool tweed, and I even saw a plaid coat with toggles in the mix. Also, you'll benefit from the amazing collection of outwear over at Forward. There are some pretty fabulous finds over there, many of which are on sale!

It may still be chillingly cold out, but I think there's no better way to beat the bleak than with a fresh pop of color. While scanning through street style blogs, I came across Tottie Greer on Altamira wearing an all black ensemble broken up by a sweet floral skirt. Now it may be freezing out, but this Monet-inspired peplum skirt says there's a warm light at the end of the windy tunnel.

Sounding Off

Audiophiles everywhere run to Sonoro for equipment and products that are sleek, compact, and offer major sound. The German company focuses on innovation as much as it does design, giving us music systems that are compatible with both iPods and modern living rooms. For example, take the Eklipse, a glossy black, multi-functioning speaker system engineered to bring maximum volume while taking up minimal space. The Eklipse features an integrated iPod dock, CD and MP3 player, alarm clock, AM/FM radio, and a line in/out so you can connect to other audio systems. And best of all, this little cube comes with a remote control! You don't even have to get up off the couch to skip a song or hit shuffle!
