If you could design an outfit for a style icon, past or present, whom would it be and what would you make for them to wear?
JH: Icons today are more than just rock and movie stars. Indie executives like Marc Zuckerman of Facebook, Howard McLearan of Bumble and Bumble, actor Gary Oldman, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Tom and Chris from Myspace ? these guys are gracing magazine covers and they're all over the media. They need to be ready for anything. I design outerwear that is travel friendly, styles that are slim and modern, denim that looks perfectly aged, and tee shirts that complement every mood.
It's 2 a.m. and you've been up working, what are you eating?
JH: Mango, strawberries, and bananas, with condensed milk and a pinch of salt.
What is one thing most people don't know about you?
JH: That being creative is one step away from insanity. I think creativity is as much a curse as it is a gift. I'm thankful that my wife and my family keep me grounded.*
