After establishing the oriental-arts studio in 2001 and studying various art forms from China, Japan and Korea, designer Kay Lee sought to combine the oriental expression with modern, wearable patterns. Inspired by the nature she found in the Aukstaitija National Park in Lithuania, in 2004 Lee founded Tankus, which means dense or tight in Lithuanian. The collection combines architectural silhouettes with global style that appeals to young, modern women.
