Alexander Wang is known for his casual mix of refined silhouettes and urban chic. His eponymous line offers a provocative twist on day-to-day garments, where street meets luxury and ones personality shines through style. T by Alexander Wang offers the same ideals, but is centered around tee shirt dressing and pushing basics to a whole new level. Think stretched out necklines, muscle tees, mini patch pocket detailing, and shades of gray, white, and black with pops of color.
Don't believe the hype. I've been lusting after these 80+ dollar Alexander Wang t-shirts for a while, since GQ and the like seem to idolize them. It fit nicely and I definitely liked the style, but the "wilted" look that he applies made the shirt really uncomfortable. There were pilled up pieces of cotton along the entirely of the shirt's interior, so it felt very cheap and extremely uncomfortable. What's the point of that then? If you want a wilted shirt, I'd suggest buying a regular, high quality t-shirt from a place like J. Crew or Banana Republic and simply wearing it and hang drying it. It'll have a unique style and be much more comfortable and inexpensive than this piece of turd.
