I love the look of these pants. The material is really nice, a silk rayon blend, and has a lot of flow to the fabric. I a little on the curvy side and normally wear a size 4 on bottom. The pant is a teeny weeny tight on the thighs and bum. It's fine with a long shirt or sweater. But, I was wanting to pair it with another SCF loose blouse that would show the back, and may not be as flattering. The pockets are really shallow, so not really practical. I can understand the puckering that happens on the top of the pant as a prior reviewer mentioned. But, I think it is based on how high or low you wear the pant to deal with the puckering and if you wear a long shirt over the top. I am going to order the 2 and see how it is. I think the bigger size may increase the puckering issue as the overall pant would be a looser fit. You look 10 lbs thinner in these vertical stripe bell bottom pantsNO JOKE! So for that I am going to give it a good rating, I can live with the little issues.
The fit and construction is very poor. I have to wear a long shirt.
I'd been dying for striped bells, so I love these in spite of so-so fit and construction. I would figure a pair of $330 pants wouldn't have twisted elastic and loose threads! More importantly, the pockets are slender and shallow and useless for anything but causing the pant to gap. I wish they didn't exist, but they do, so to solve my Bell Bottom Blues I tried them on backwards, and they fit perfectly! So if you have any butt at all, just turn 'em around!
