Jeff, Maine (Average/Average Height)
I've owned a lot of boots, and these are my favorites. I wish the sole had a bit of tread/traction, but I'll get that fixed when it's time for a resole (and if I really wanted, I could always add a topy in the meantime). These boots are just beautiful to look at, have great style, and the fit is fantastic. They really mold to your feet and are a joy to wear. The only potential drawback is that there is basically no shape/support to the footbed, but you eventually create your own heel/toe indentations, and too much of a footbed makes you lose all the muscle in your foot, so that's no good either. If that bothers you, just add a footbed insert (and size up 1/2 size from what would fit if you had no footbed).I'd say these fit 1/2 - 1 full size smaller than sneakers. I tend to be somewhere between a 9 and 9.5 in most shoes, but the 8.5 was what fit best. I'm a 9 in the Beckmans, so the fit on these seems to be a bit different, but both fit wonderfully once I had my size dialed in. If it helps, I'm an 8.5 in CDBs.Buy this boot.
