Just as Amir said, the shoe has a cheap leather layer on it that peels off after a few hours of use. Underneath the primary layer is another layer of black "leather," I'm not sure if the second layer is more durable. The top layer includes the stripe/curve on the side, though, which really sucks because if it stayed attached the shoe might be wearable after losing the top layer. Otherwise the shoe is great......

What is a Special Order Inquiry?
A Special Order Inquiry is a request for Revolve to check the availability of your item, and to determine approximately when a special order would arrive. Typically it takes 3-10 days for us to obtain this information, as suppliers are contacted only once a week (at their request, otherwise we would contact them every single day). We then email you, at which point you can decide whether you would like to continue with the special order.

There is no cost or fee associated with inquiries. Feel free to inquire about any item you are interested in.

There is no obligation to continue with a special order based on the results of the inquiry. If the item will take too long to arrive, or you simply change your mind, there is no need to continue. By default we do not proceed with a special order, unless you instruct us to do so.

When items are in stock at the manufacturer, the wait can range from as few as a couple days to as long as a month. The reason for this variance is that some designers process orders much faster than others. The typical designer takes between one to two weeks to ship the order.

I love these shoes. But I tried two pairs and the black 'leather' part has some kind of cheap film on it which peels and flakes after a couple hours of use. Its really very unfortunate because Hussein Chalayan has designed an incredible shoe, but Puma has really come up with piss poor construction. I really wish they just used normal leather and left it at that ... whatever the film coating is they've used is some real third world quality. You can't pay 150$ for a pair of sneakers and have them look flaky and peeling after a few hours of use. I can't even imagine what a few weeks would look like. I'm returning my 2nd pair and just getting another pair of shoes even though I really tried very hard to keep them cause I love the styling.......
