This is my first experience with dry denim jeans, and I'm glad I researched the subject and knew what to expect. Still, while I struggled to shoehorn myself into them for the first wear, I had a small "oh dear" moment. The denim is heavy, they're very stiff and restrictive, and I imagine it will take weeks of wear before they become comfortable. But that's all part of the fun, and the crunchiness will surely lead to some great fading. They are long- I got size 30 waist and they must be 36 inches or more in length. I'm 6'1/183cm and with a small turn-up I think the stacking looks great, but if you're short they're going to look silly (although you could always get them taken up, I suppose.) I'm 30 in Levi's 511 and went 30 for these and the fit is similar- slim and tight, but not ridiculous. I think it would be extremely difficult for me to get into a pair of size 29's. It's hard to say how much they'll stretch, but I really wouldn't recommend sizing down. I think the product photo gives an accurate representation of the fit and look of the jeans, which I love. I'm really looking forward to breaking in these hardcore bastards.
