In 2001, designer Karina Grimaldi relocated from Buenos Aires to Miami, where she began working on her eponymous line of clothing. Officially launched in 2003, her cool collection of womenswear offers detailed pieces inspired by Miami's multicultural and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
With platform espadrilles or similar sandals, this dress is perfect for outdoor events. ?i paired the dress with gold platform sandals and a gold necklace ?to a friend's wedding in sonoma and got a lot of compliments. ? the dress does not have a zipper, so you do have to be careful when you slip it on. ?i have a very modest chest, so that was not an issue, but i could see how it might pose a slight problem if you have an ample chest. ?because of the low back, i did not wear a bra but put on those sticky nipple covers.?
i love the print and the vibrancy of the color. ?however, the fabric is very thin, so you will be able to see the silhouette of the thighs through the skirt. ?the dress is a slip-on, with no zipper or buttons., which makes it slightly challenging to put on, especially if you have a big chest. ?i have tiny boobs and still i had to move my arms and shoulders very carefully so as not to rip the delicate seams.?
I really like this dress, but like the ties on the other dress (I bought both colors) better The chain portion of this dress will only fit the way it is pictured if you are extra tiny in the waist. I have a pretty small waist and it does not fit anything like this. I think I prefer the look of the plain tie over the chain because it provides definition, but is not competing with the print. Sizing seems consistent with other Karina Grimaldi dresses I own. All in all it is still a great dress and I really like the high low hem on this style because it is not so short. Right above the knee looks proportional with the back hem.?
