um.....theese jeans are really not worth 178 or whatever amount. they fit really small its ridiculous..and theres nothing really special about them. you can go out and find 40 dollar jeans that are better fitting then theese. maybe its just meant for a certain type of body...not mine...  |

The fit is great, although I had to go up a size...but be careful they don't rip!!! I'm on my second pair and they are not all 98% and 2% elasterell like it says here - I have had two pairs of Dark Vintage in one year and both times the bum has ripped. NONE of my other jeans have done this. If you can get ones that are only 2% elasterell, do it. Mine are 28% - and I'm pretty sure that is why the material is weaker and frankly pathetic. i wasn't sure how these were going to fit because the last pair of j brand jeans i owned were a size 24 and were too loose in the butt and legs. i couldn't shrink them and eventually sold them on ebay without ever wearing them. i thought i would never be able to wear j brand again. then i saw a photo of kate moss wearing these and had to have them. i ordered a 24, expecting them to fit oddly and then send them back. as soon as i slipped them on, i knew i would be purchasing more in different washes. these are the best jeans ever! i am 5'4 or 5'5 and 98 lbs. so i can see how some people who are curvier may not like the fit, but if you have long legs and are looking for something to make you look super thin, get these! you won't regret it! ... |

LOVE these jeans. I love that they are kind of wide leg but fitted in the thighs. They fit well in the thighs. If you have smaller thighs, then these are the jeans for you. The color is more faded in the upper area than in the pictures. I think these run pretty true to size. I have them in the Ink wash also, and those run slightly bigger. But I still wear both in the same size. I didn't size up in these. As with all jeans, they stretch a little over time anyway. Very flattering on the rear, especially if you don't have much of one. Colour is a bit darker than the picture. Otherwise a fantastic look and fit. I have a flat-ish backside but well-developed thighs (ie not stick-legs, but not huge either) and these jeans fitted well in all the right places. And there is minimal muffin-top even though I have a bit of a belly. I was considering a 28 as I take 27 in the cigatette leg "ink" and "black" which according to deions, run large. Deion of 'lovestory' indicates it runs true-to-size. I got size 27 not 28 in the end, a punt and was relieved I did. 28 would have been too big. Fabric has alot of stretch. Oh, and they are very very very long- will need taking up if you are any less than model-height. Highly recommended.... |

love, love, LOVE these jeans!! I recommend them for everyone, the lovestory is the best thing to happen to denim and dark vintage is the best color it comes in. These are by far THE MOST FLATTERING jeans. Ever. They grow as you wear them though, so I recommend a size smaller than you normally take. They are super soft and feel really comfortable wearing. They are not too tight, just right. The way they are cut makes your legs appear as if they go on for days! I would definately recommend this pair if you are looking for a wide leg. It is quite fitted in the thigh area and lucky for me that I have chicken legs, but because of this factor the flare had appeared wider than I had wanted, therefore, I ended up returning it. I found the fit to be true to size and comfortable because of the 2% lycra. I am 5'11" and a 34" inside leg, I usually struggle to find jeans long enough. These jeans are super long and look great with wedges and a simple white T-shirt. I am a UK size 11/12 and bought a size 30. I did not find these jeans to be too snug or small and could probably have got away with a 29. There's plenty of lycra for comfort and I would say they are my best fitting jeans to date after spending years in Rock and Republic and Versace I'm gonna stick with J Brand. Even my Mum said my bum looked nice in them!... |

I got the lovestory in the dark vintage wash size 26. I'm 5'4" and my measurements are 26waist 36hips and it fit perfectly. They are a bit snug, but will eventually stretch out. With a few washings it should shorten about half to one inch in length, so I wouldn't advise hemming them too short before you throw them in the dryer a few times. I tried to get them tailored with the original hem, but it can't be done due to the bell bottom shape. They are pretty long for those who are petite and will have to go with 4-5" heels or platforms. I am 5'5" and 128 - 129 lbs, I wear a size 28-29 in Seven FAM, 28 in True Religion and a 28 in Joe's Jeans. I purchased these jeans in a size 29 and I found out that the waist is too big, but the thighs fit just right. The material is very stretchy, soft, and comfortable. I agree with the others that this style fits tight! I have a few pairs of J Brand jeans which I love, all in a size 26 and they fit perfect. Contour the body like a glove, very flattering. I have a slim figure (with 34.5 inch hips) but my legs aren't pin thin, they have shape. The Lovestory style in my same size was too snug in the thighs and hips. I have to return them unfortunately. I do not agree with the other comments on these jeans. I bought up a size, as my thighs are much bigger than my hip size, and I found them to be huge on me! It may be that european sizes are smaller than american, but both thighs and waist were way too big. Also, I am five foot nine, and found the jeans were far too long. I do love the style and cut though, so I am going to exchange for two sizes smaller and get the legs taken up. The denim is really comfortable and very flattering.... |

Very slim cut in the leg. If you do not have Nicole Richie stick pins, go with your larger size. That said, these jeans are rockin'! If you want to follow the new wide leg, bell bottom trend...these are the jeans for you! Looks super hot with platform wedges and a fitted cardigan.... |
