This is my 7th pair of Frye's, they always always always fit a half to a full size big. I got these a half size smaller than my regular size and they are still big but I am now putting cushiony insoles in all of them which solves the problem perfectly. The leather on these is slightly different than the usual rough and tumble look Frye is famous for, these are very polished looking, lovely. I've had a thick toppy sole with tread put on them and I think it makes them look even better....

What is a Special Order Inquiry?
A Special Order Inquiry is a request for Revolve to check the availability of your item, and to determine approximately when a special order would arrive. Typically it takes 3-10 days for us to obtain this information, as suppliers are contacted only once a week (at their request, otherwise we would contact them every single day). We then email you, at which point you can decide whether you would like to continue with the special order.

There is no cost or fee associated with inquiries. Feel free to inquire about any item you are interested in.
•
There is no obligation to continue with a special order based on the results of the inquiry. If the item will take too long to arrive, or you simply change your mind, there is no need to continue. By default we do not proceed with a special order, unless you instruct us to do so.

When items are in stock at the manufacturer, the wait can range from as few as a couple days to as long as a month. The reason for this variance is that some designers process orders much faster than others. The typical designer takes between one to two weeks to ship the order.
How Do Special Orders Work?
A special order works very much like a preorder. However, you can only place a special order after you have submitted an inquiry.

I love these boots, but I don't agree that they run small to size. They are rather slightly big. But super comfy, so I won't return them....
