I bought these pants, not from revolve, but in store, and I was super excited about them. They look amazing, and feel so comfortable! I wore them a few nights out and got countless complements, and asking where I got them. Many people also believed that they were actually leather when first seeing them! They got a little dirty on one night out, so I took them to get dry cleaned, and when I got them back, the wax looked totally different. The jeans were not nearly as waxy as when I bought them, I nearly cried. They still have a slight bit of shine, but not nearly as good looking as when I first received them. Such a disappointment! I really wish the waxy texture stayed. I also emailed COH about this and all they said was that this happened often for this style, and that ironing it might help bring back that shininess. I tried, and it didn't do anything. I love COH, love the jean, the fit, just wish it was more durable, or at least that I got a warning that this would happen! If you can maintain the waxyness, I would definitely recommend these!
Wanted to love these! I've always loved the Avedons so when these came out, I wasn't surprised that I enjoyed them so much. The waxed coated was basically on an avedon jean, which compared to all the other brands were so much better in terms of comfort. I loved the higher rise, it was so flattering, no muffin tops what so ever. In terms of sizing, if you guys are familiar with avedons in general..you need to remember to size down even if it seems a little tight, cus they stretch out so much.the one BIG DOWNSIDE to these jeans is the coating...when i received them, they were so shiny and the wax coating was just perfect. i didn't have time to hem my jeans so i decided to fold them inwards in the meantime. after the second wear i noticed that the waxed coating was rubbing off, especially where i had folded them. and i noticed everywhere else the coating was lack lustre and completely different from the way they were when i first wore them. I noticed that they continually got duller and duller. To the point where these look like plain black jeans now. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I wanted to love these, and i always have...but $228 for WAXED jeans that fade eventually to just plain black...just isn't for me.I decided to purchase the J Brands instead. Bottom line, i wouldn't recommend unless you prefer a waxed coating that doesn't look too shiny.
I love these. They fit slightly big, I am usually a 24 and dare I say I would try a 23 if it were available. They are closer to looking like leather than 7 for all Mankind's High Shine coated denim or J brand's waxed denim. But keep in mind they don't actually look like leather, just leather-ish. However, beware: the coating cracks when stretched. No joke, I saw it with my own eyes. These are far too expensive for that to be happening. I think it's because the coating is a bit thicker than other brands. Sales associates in-store cautioned me away from them because of this. Try 7 for all Mankind or J brand instead. I returned mine because of the cracking.
