Okay, first of all, I am in love with j brand jeans. Lovestory was the first and when deal in ink started to be the only jeans i was wearing, i decided to buy another one. The deal(pencil leg with zips) was beyond comfortable, even though i am very skinny, made me look skinny BUT great, we were the perfect match. I decided to purchase skinny this time but again in ink(i think its the best of all the colors). But this time, things didnt go as smooth as the first time. I have never had struggles to pull my jeans up my thighs, but, this time, it was a NIGHTMARE! Actually, i didnt realize that in the picture too, these look like leggings on the model. I dont know, maybe that's how it's supposed to be, but still i'm so not comfortable in these; İ cant bend my knees and i cant sit properly. By the way, I'm 5'6'', 100 pounds and wear 24 in all my 3 J Brands. I ordered 24 again, but should have 25 or something. So, I seriously recommend the ''Deal''
I wear in 27 in all jbrand cuts and 7 for all mankind. However, i had to purchase these in a 28 but they are still tight in the legs especially at the knee and calves. The waist fits fine even a little loose but the waist is really low. I wear a belt to keep them up higher. It's a major muffin top if not. i recommend 14" for the best fit for girls with chunkier legs. The good thing about these jeans is that I didn't have to get them hemmed, the legs don't stretch out at all, like most skinnies, and they tuck into boots nicely. I recommend trying the 12" before purchasing this.
For the aussie girls - im a 30 in bettinas i ordered a 29 and they are a bit loose. I would say 30 bettinas=28 in jbrands. Hope that helps!
I'm 5'4, weight 107pds, hip 34.5. This is my first pair of 10" skinny, I normally wear 25 in most of the brans, also the J Brand 12" pencil. I've been struggled whether to get a 26 or 27 on these, as base on previous reviewers this jean run small. I finally decided only go up one size, as this suppose to be skinny. For me, the waist is a bit loose, hip just fit well, but instead it's kind of thigt on the legs, I have quite a plump legs. Still love it, great purchased!
Here is my body type: 5'4.5" 127-ish pounds a little bit of hips going on Here's my praise: I bought my first pair of j brand 10" ink wash skinnies in a size 27 in October of 08. They were a struggle to get on. These guys don't give. I wondered if I should've got a 28. loved the shape they gave my legs and bottom and how simple they were. I kept them. I wore them just about every day to break them in. I kept wearing them all the time because they were so flattering. They fit inside all my boots! They were also great for fall/winter because they were thick. Now that it's spring time and for flats and heels- still great! Here's my problem: Just last week I bent down to pick something up and RIIIIIIIIP. I busted through the right knee. I really want to get another pair, hoping that mine were just faulty in some way or maybe I should've spent less time crawling around in them while playing with the dog (that probably contributed to the wash lightening on the knees too). I still wear them, but I'm not into that wounded knee look day-in day-out. What to do? Off to Saks (sorry Revolve) praying they have them in stock so that I can test out a 28! If they work and stretch out I know I can always have them taken in. If they are too big I will just buy another 27 and treat them like gold. I hope that helped you out!
