Size Up

It's very beautiful, but also delicate and runs more than a size too big! I know it's meant to be a relaxed fit but it was just unnecessarily wide, and my pregnant cousin could easily fit into it. This crochet style doesn't suit the oversized look, and belting it looked awkward. I am 5'4, usually a US6, 34C, and I initially purchased the M from another site. When it arrived, one of the crochet holes near the bust had already snagged, making that hole noticeably larger. I returned it and thankfully revolve restocked on sizes and I snapped up the last size S. Despite being delicate, it really is a quality piece at a great price. It did come with a very strong musky/mildewy smell, which came out after a good soak. The length is perfect (probably a bit shorter than 30"), and quite flattering. A bit short on me to wear as a dress, but so far, I have paired it with light blue denim shorts, a black maxi dress and mini high waist skirt, and it looks great tucked in too. Both nude and black slips look great under it, but black or a darker slip really brings out the details. It's a bit difficult to see, but the detailing is incredible, and the tiered scallop trims won me over -it's the nicest modern crochet design I have seen so far. Definitely versatile, and the tunic has received many compliments from a lot of different people; an elderly woman loved it, some family and friends, and even a little kid I walked past liked it. A key piece to add to your wardrobe if you get the right size. It's timeless, and with care, will last ages since my mom still has some of her crochet pieces from the 70s. I love it so much, I just might get the black one too.

As Is

Love this top. Great price and is higher quality than other Free People items (personally, I feel some of their items look a bit cheap or young for me). The fit is super flattering. I have a 32 inch chest and ordered an XS. I think if the model was wearing an XS, it would more better depict how flattering this top really is. It looks so much better on than shown in the picture.
