IMO, 7s offer the best combination of look, fit and comfort. And, if you're lucky enough to find them on sale, a great value. Being in my mid-forties, I find some of the other premium jeans have a bit too much adornments (I've tried Rock and Republic and True Religion, but ending up giving them to my 19 year-old son). They seem to "look" better on younger people. In contrast, 7s tend to be a little more conservative. That doesn't mean that they are boring or lack "pazzaz". Rather, they tend to be very versatile. You can leave them longer and wear them "saggy-style" or you can wear them just just below the waist (given the low-rise design) and have the bottoms propertly altered so they will work for those casual-dress office days. Either way you choose, they relay a sense of style without being pretentious and they work for a broader range of ages. I really like the color of this model (Brunei). To me, ithe color (or wash) seems to be gray to black. Although the deion says it has a brown wash, I really don't see it. Nonetheless, it's a great color and a nice deviation from all the various blue colors that make up the majority of jeans. Also, since the bottoms lack any real detail (i.e. distressing), they can be easily altered by your local tailor (if you can't find one, just check with your local cleanerthey should offer this service for a nominal fee of $10 to $20). Just remember to wash and dry your new jeans before having them altered. Denim will shrink a little in the length over its life, but the first wash and dry cycle tends to cause the most dramatic change.
